The World Of Chef Vishnu Manohar
Born on 18th February 1968, Vishnuji’s career journey is as dynamic as his personality. Starting as a trained commercial artist, he soon found his true calling in the culinary world. Over the years, he has donned many roles—celebrity chef, entrepreneur, cookbook author, actor, orator, and singer. His transition from artist to culinary genius has been a remarkable journey of creativity and passion.
After graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, Vishnuji transitioned from a trained commercial artist to the Executive Chef for Manover Hospitality Pvt. Ltd. since 1988. He became a Director in 2010, overseeing several successful restaurant ventures, including Vishnuji Ki Rasoi, which serves authentic Punjabi and Maharashtrian cuisine. His restaurants are located across Nagpur (2009), Pune (2012), Latur (2021), and internationally in San Francisco and San Jose (banquet hall & restaurant) and Dallas (Texas), with exciting upcoming locations in Amravati, Jabalpur Highway, and Karnal (Haryana).

Vishnuji’s culinary achievements are nothing short of extraordinary. He holds multiple world records, including creating a 5-foot-long paratha, completing a 53-hour non-stop cooking marathon, and preparing 3,000 kg and 5,000 kg servings of rice and beans. These impressive feats have earned him recognition in the Limca Book of Records, India Book of Records, and Asia Book of Records.

Vishnuji’s talent isn’t limited to the kitchen. As an actor, he has appeared in two Marathi films—Zunj Ekaki and Hambarda, as well as a Hinglish film called Holy Bastard. He has also produced animated films like Baru the Wonder Kid, showcasing his versatility and love for creative expression

He has been a judge on the immensely popular cooking show Mejwani Paripoorna on ETV Marathi and Colors Marathi, where he has been a staple for over 15 years, with more than 4,500 episodes aired. He has hosted live cooking competitions on Zee 24 Tass, Saam TV, and Urdu Doordarshan’s Dawat-e-Khala, captivating audiences across India.
His radio shows, “Sidhe Tawa Se” on Radio Mirchi and “Chulha Chowka” on Vividh Bharti, have brought the joy of Indian cooking to listeners, while his 5,000+ live shows across India, Bhutan, Dubai, Singapore, and Nepal have trained over 4 lakh women in the art of cooking.
